Season 3, Episode 15: A Higher Power
My agent was able to get a meeting with the showrunner of Criminal Minds to pitch my idea for an episode. It was the third season so still pretty fresh at the time and they hadn’t written an Angel of Death style of serial killer at that point.
My idea – a serial killer preys upon grieving towns after a big tragedy has taken place, then targets mourners to make it look like they’ve committed suicide. Diabolical, I know. He liked the pitch and I was hired.
